Lovely colour on your orchid. Have you ever tried structured water for plants? I recently discovered Mr. Emoto's work and started experiments with this type of water. Allready seen some progress. It's difficult to explain but I guess, the most impact comes from additional oxigen. My replaced orchid is still in bloom, no need to remove the flowers . The orchid is growing new roots. The structured water seems to be a good replacement for rainwater. I collect as much rain as possible, but it doesn't rain often. I'm very happy at the moment with the new possibility using structured tape water. It saves a lot of money not buying distilled water all the time. An interesting trial is in progress. I'm excited to see the result.
I have never tried structured water. Does that mean that hard natural water is bad for orchids? In Japan, we have soft water and use tap water after filtering it with a water purifier. Maybe I should try using rainwater when the rainy season comes.
@eririn701 yes, hard water seems to be damaging for orchids roots and other plants as well. I made this experience over the years. It contains a lot of minerals that seals roots surface . The same happens with skin and hair too. Since I changed it the orchids overall growth improved immensely. All new roots are nice and clean, without any deposit. The structured tape water also contains minerals but it is still very different. Most of the time I dilute it with distilled or rain water to TDS of 100 ppm. This also doesn't make deposit on the orchids leaves. It makes more work, , but I'm not loosing plants anymore.
Nice flowers
